I’m Nat, founder of Cocoa Drop and chief chocolatier. Founded in 2018, I began my chocolate journey in York on a chocolate tempering class. A born chocoholic who grew tired of tasting chocolates that didn’t deliver the taste and experience that I desired, after this class, I was hooked!

 

I began tempering chocolate and making my own truffles in my kitchen at home as a hobby while I worked as a Primary school teacher. Friends and family loved to taste what I made and I quickly perfected my skills to make chocolates that I could take to stalls and sell.

 

I built my business slowly to start, but then sadly my wonderful Mum passed away after a short battle with cancer and it put everything in to perspective. She told me to follow my dream and make my chocolate business work, so following her instructions, I quit my teaching job and went full time into my chocolate business. The best decision I ever made!

 

I now create chocolate that is full of decadence and flavour that my love for chocolate really shines through! I focus of making classic tastes that  full of flavour and then creating new and exciting taste sensations. The favourite part of my ‘job’ is seeing someone enjoy the chocolate I create as much as I do.

 

I now sell on stalls and fairs across the country, stock shops, sell online and hold workshops to share chocolate skills with others. I always hope that my Mum looks down on what I have created and is proud and I always smile as I bite into her favourite  coffee truffles and remember why I make them.
